Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Introduction

Developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979, an MBSR 8 week course is a thoughtfully designed program that integrates insights from neuroscience, psychology, and educational approaches that focus on experiential, group-based, and discovery learning. Recognized globally as the "gold standard" in mindfulness training, participants are provided with an opportunity to build a personalized mindfulness practice over the course of eight weeks (plus one additional day). During the course participants are supported by a small-group environment. Extensive research has shown that the program offers substantial physical and psychological health benefits.
This course is ideal for beginners of all kinds. Given its intensive and sustained format, along with the challenges of modern life on the nervous system, it is recommended to train under a qualified instructor, as supported by the international mindfulness teaching and training community.
